Event Description


AAFAME is pleased to partner with Texas Ramp Project on another project requiring our volunteer expertise.  The Texas Ramp Project is a nonprofit that provides free wheelchair ramps to low-income older adults and people with disabilities identified by local health care providers.

Below are 3 different volunteer opportunities available.  Please sign up using the link below.


Build Modules

5/18/21 from 1-5pm @ Texas Ramp Project located at 9705 Burnet Road #601
Prior to the ramp build we will need volunteers to meet to cut board to dimension and prepare modules to assemble the day of the build. Tools are provided but encouraged to bring your own as well. Receive 6 hours for volunteering.

Transport Materials

5/21/21 2pm @ Texas Ramp Project located at 9705 Burnet Road #601
Will need a flatbed trailer to load materials on day before and store in the warehouse. Pick up the trailer the next day to deliver to the job site. Receive 4 hours for volunteering.

Build Ramp

5/22/21 8am to 1pm
Location:  12719 Jacobson Road, Manor 78653
(turn right onto New Sweden Road off FM973 - north of 290 and then turn onto Jacobson Road.)
Assist with building ramp using materials provided and cut to size prior to the build. Tools are provided but encouraged to bring your own as well. Receive 8 hours for volunteering.
