Event Description
This comprehensive course is designed for Building Management personnel to gain essential knowledge about integrated fire protection systems. With a particular emphasis on high-rise applications, it also applies well to mid-level buildings. The course covers fire alarm systems, including their components and operational aspects, as well as the integration with ancillary systems such as elevator interfaces, HVAC and building automation interfaces, stair pressurization, smoke control integration, areas of rescue, and access control tie-ins. Additionally, the course delves into NFPA requirements related to fire sprinkler systems within commercial buildings. Participants will learn about the various types of fire sprinkler inspections required by NFPA and what to expect during these inspections. The training includes hands-on experience with over a dozen different sprinkler valves and basic fire pump operation, providing a thorough understanding of how these systems work together to deliver a comprehensive fire protection system.
