Synopsis: This presentation is designed to give building engineers a clear, practical understanding of three key plumbing systems: grease traps, sand & oil separators, and sewage ejection pumps. We will cover their function, proper sizing, code compliance, and common installation challenges. By building foundational plumbing knowledge around these systems, engineers can make more informed design decisions that prevent failures and ensure long-term system performance.

With 32 years of experience in commercial plumbing, Kevin Alsobrooks is the trusted leader behind JBS Plumbing Services. His career has been defined by a commitment to excellence and a deep sense of pride in the relationships he builds with clients. For Kevin, the greatest reward is the trust placed in him to care for the buildings and projects that matter most to others.  Outside of work, Kevin enjoys spending quality time with his family, hitting the golf course (even if his scorecard lives in the high 90s), and occasionally trying his luck at the tables.


Seth Alsobrooks
Operations Manager – Austin, JBS Plumbing Services

With 21 years in commercial plumbing, Seth Alsobrooks serves as the Operations Manager for JBS Plumbing Services in Austin. He is known for his steady leadership, strong client relationships, and commitment to being a dependable resource—especially when clients need support the most.  Outside of work, Seth is active in his church, enjoys gaming, and is a dedicated backyard pitmaster. A true BBQ connoisseur, he’s always chasing the perfect smoke ring.
