Event Description
Please join us on Saturday October 11th @ Safe in Austin Rescue Ranch whose mission is to rescue animals who suffer from abuse or neglect. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. Receive 4-6 hours of volunteer time depending on the shift.
Planned Activities:
Stump Removal: Use chainsaws to cut and clear small stumps from the cow and goat yard as well as the Enchanted Trail to improve safety and accessibility. PLEASE BRING CHAIN SAWS AND GLOVES!
Railroad Tie Relocation: Assist with moving and installing heavy railroad ties into designated animal enclosures to create sturdy boundaries and improve habitat areas. PLEASE BRING SHOVELS AND DOLLIES TO HELP MOVE ITEMS.
Turf Installation: Help lay turf in the backyard and the Special Needs Livestock area to enhance comfort, reduce mud, and improve the animals’ living environment. PLEASE BRING RAZOR BLADES AND HAND TOOLS.
General Cleanup: Pitch in with basic property cleanup, including collecting debris, trimming overgrowth, and tidying up pathways to keep the grounds safe and welcoming. PLEASE BRING GLOVES AND WEAR PANTS WITH CLOSE TOE SHOES!
This event is a great opportunity to work outdoors, learn new skills, and support the care and comfort of the animals.
