AAFAME built a ramp last month and now we're looking for volunteers to help us paint it! We'll need 10 people to get this done in one afternoon. Here's what we'll be doing:
Donna Taylor is the Volunteer Recruiter for the Texas Ramp Project and is also a member of AAFAME. She'll be on-site with the following supplies and will oversee the project from start to finish:

AAFAME Ramp Painting

AAFAME built a ramp last month and now we're looking for volunteers to help us paint it! We'll need 10 people to get this done in one afternoon. Here's what we'll be doing:
- Tape off surfaces next to the ramp.
- Sand any rough spots/splinters on the railing.
- Brush off any dust or dirt and sweep the floor of the ramp.
- Apply the primer to the rails first, starting at the top and working to the bottom.
- Apply the latex paint to the rails.
- Apply primer to the floor using rollers.
- Apply one coat of anti-slip deck paint to the floor using rollers.

- Primer
- Regular Latex Paint
- Anti-Slip Deck Paint
- Latex gloves, wipes, paper towels
- Sandpaper
- Brush & broom
- Paintbrushes and rollers
- Paint trays/bins, stirs, openers
- Extra bucket for wet/dirty brushes
- Trash bags
- Plastic sheeting and painter’s tape
- Sign with AAFAME logo
