Course Description:
This interactive, hands-on workshop equips building engineers with the knowledge and practical skills to confidently assess and respond to water and smoke damage incidents. Participants will learn how to safely evaluate losses, determine when damage can be effectively managed in-house, and recognize when professional restoration services are necessary.

Attendees will receive hands-on experience using industry-standard drying equipment, moisture meters, thermal imaging cameras, air movers, dehumidifiers, and other restoration tools and instruments. The course covers how these devices are used to identify hidden moisture, monitor drying progress, test for smoke damage, and help ensure losses are addressed safely and effectively.

Through real-world scenarios and practical demonstrations, participants will gain the confidence to properly triage water and smoke losses, minimize property damage, reduce downtime, and protect building occupants while understanding the limitations of in-house mitigation efforts.

AAFAME will be assisting with the parade staging & distribution of refreshments.

We meet on the south side of the Congress bridge near the Bat Statue for assignments and briefing at 6:00 am. Parking information will be shared closer to the event.

Our job is to help approx 2,000 people and 200 vehicles safely in their marching order. The Parade Chairman will give us a formation list and we will greet people and guide them to their proper position.

We will also assist with distributing food to parade participants.
